Fly High

Although our time together was short, we think about you every day. Like, what would you be like now? How would you laugh and play? 

Each year they say it gets easier but I think that’s just to be kind. But another year on it doesn’t seem so true your forever on our minds. 

It feels so long since we held you in our arms. Our hearts we have left in each of your palms. Your smell we remember, it won’t fade away. We’re confronted with awkwardness, people don’t know what to say. 

We can still feel you close to us we held you oh so tight. No parents should have to say for the last time we love you son good night.

One day we will meet again in that place up in the sky, but for now we will send a kiss to you our precious boy fly high.
